Biografía del artista

Neil Hannon, known as the brain and composer of The Divine Comedy, has achieved fame with twelve albums that blend orchestral pop and intelligent lyrics. Originally from Northern Ireland, he signed his first contract at the age of 19. In 1996, Casanova and the single ‘Something For The Weekend’ catapulted him to fame. National Express from 1998, became their most beloved single. The longevity of the group was confirmed in 2023 when Charmed Life, The Best Of The Divine Comedy, reached the fifth position on the UK charts. Hannon has also stood out outside of the band, creating a musical adaptation for the Bristol Old Vic and presenting classical pieces in Belfast. His contribution to the found-footage sci-fi film LOLA and the original songs for the upcoming Warner Bros film Wonka, starring Timothée Chalamet, showcase his artistic versatility. He resides in County Kildare, Ireland, with his wife Cathy Davey and several rescued animals while working on a new album for The Divine Comedy.
